FEBRUARY HALF TERM DROP IN ACTIVITIES

LONDON BIRDS CALLING!
SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY TO SUNDAY 19 FEBRUARY
EVERY DAY BETWEEN 10AM AND DUSK APART FROM MONDAY AND TUESDAY WHEN THE PARK IS CLOSED
Free drop in quiz trails and art on the theme of birds in London. Discover which birds use the Ecology Park and why the numbers and types of bird changes over the course of the year. Find out how to help birds survive the winter and why lots of birds are singing at this time of year. Borrow a pair of binoculars and have a look from one of our bird hides.

SUNDAY 18 MARCH
IT'S THE BIGGEST, IT'S THE BEST, IT'S THE TENTH ANNUAL FROG DAY !
11am – 3pm
Come and help celebrate the time of year when frogs come out of winter hibernation and start to lay frogspawn in their breeding ponds. Froggy activities for all ages including pond dipping, frogtastic art, quiz trails, information on setting up your own pond plus gist stall, refreshments and barbecue.
FROG DAY is on Mother's Day this year so every mother who attends gets a free cup of tea and cake!

The park is owned by the Land Trust and managed by the Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE). The Trust for Urban Ecology is a part of the BTCV group

Events are organised by the Trust for Urban Ecology working with local volunteers and the Friends of Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park.

How to get there:

North Greenwich tube (15 min walk to Park along river or through Central Park , or catch buses below)

Buses: 108, 129, 161, 132, 188, 472, 486 - Millennium Village Oval Square bus stop then walk through green area and gate onto wooden boardwalk to reach the Gatehouse. Bus 422 stops in John Harrison Way .

Free parking for 2 hours in John Harrison Way or Peartree Way.

We are on the Thames Path - cycle and pedestrian route.
