Pond Dipping

At Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

Grand Open Day
Sunday 16th June
12 – 4pm

Discover the world of urban wildlife with a day of taster activities including pond dipping, bug hunting, prize trails, willow weaving, wildlife gardening workshop, children's art table, music, barbecue and refreshments!


The park is owned by the Land Trust and managed by the Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE). The Trust for Urban Ecology is a part of the BTCV group

Events are organised by the Trust for Urban Ecology working with local volunteers and the Friends of Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park.

Please note that under 8 year olds must be accompanied by an adult on site at all times.

How to get there:

North Greenwich tube (15 min walk to Park along river or through Central Park , or catch buses below)

Buses: 108, 129, 161, 132, 188, 472, 486 - Millennium Village Oval Square bus stop then walk through green area and gate onto wooden boardwalk to reach the Gatehouse. Bus 422 stops in John Harrison Way .

Free parking for 2 hours in John Harrison Way or Peartree Way.

We are on the Thames Path - cycle and pedestrian route.
